Our Process

Now you’ve decided to renovate your current kitchen, bathroom or laundry or custom build from new, there are some main stages of design and development you will need to consider to get started.

The steps and tips for the design and development of a kitchen project.

Step 1: What do you require?
Whether you’re building a new kitchen or renovating a current kitchen, this is the time to think about what works for you. We will personally guide you through the briefing stage to help you identify your needs and budget.

Questions
- How much time you spend in your kitchen?
- What do you like or dislike about your current kitchen?
- Would you like your kitchen to be used for multiple purposes such as a home office, informal dining or kids recreation area.
Step 2: How do you want your kitchen to look?
Once you've completed a kitchen brief, we will accurately measure your existing kitchen or work from plans to develop a 3 dimensional computer model that places all your appliances, cupboards and benches into your work triangle and room space.
It is at this step that you will work closely with Dirk to model and move your ideas into your ideal kitchen.

Tips
- Compile a scrapbook of favourite kitchen layouts you like.
- Consider appliances.
- Do you want drawers or cupboards?
- Photograph and keep note of the things you like, regardless of how small or large.
Step 3: What colours and textures?
Now you have a clearer idea of how your new kitchen will be laid out and operate.

Choosing a colour scheme, appliances, the types of materials and often, the kitchen sink, can be the hardest decisions to make. Dirk and his team offer you the very latest trends in colours and materials, helping to make your choices easier.
